According to TheCoasterGuy, an X2 train that just got out of the maintenance cycle was being tested and ended up valley between the twist ‘n flip and the final raven turn. The train is nearly 5000 pounds, making it very difficult to pull upland over the last inversion to get the train back to the station. Sadly, the coaster probably won’t be open tomorrow or this weekend.

It has now been confirmed that Corkscrew from Flamingo Land is being removed and re-located to Lunapark as Apocalypse. Wow, an old Vekoma looper as a “new for 2012″ ride? Weird. Stay tuned for more on this!

Hi,
It seems that Riddler’s Revenge at SFMM never gets any online attention, so I thought I would do a Review Post on it.
The coaster first opened in 1998 as the world’s tallest and fastest stand-up coaster in the world, and it still holds that record today. Other than that, the coaster has barely had a few, if any, changes.
Ride Manufacturer: Bolliger and Mabillard
Year Opened: 1998
Ride Type: Stand-Up
Propulsion Technique: Chain Lift
Braking Technique: Friction
It is hard to compare a ride like RR to another ride because it is a whole different experience because you stand up. Due to this, the g-forces pull down on your legs and can be quite uncomfortable at certain parts of the ride, but overall I think B&M did a great job at the layout. Riddler’s Revenge is very fun and is a very wicked coaster due to the position they put you in. It is a good ride to go on while in that area of the park, but I don’t think it is really worth running to at the park’s opening. Ride Rating: 8/10 stars.

According to a few sources, there is a rumor going around that Bizarro at SFGAdv might be leaving for the 2013 season. The coaster was first built in 1999 as Medusa, debuting as the world’s first floorless roller coaster. At the time, it was drawing many crowds. After about 9 years of operation, Six Flags decided to completely re-theme Medusa into Bizarro, which included a new Bizarro paint scheme, on-ride audio, and mist sprayers throughout the ride. It has now been almost 3 years and the ride isn’t living up to it’s name anymore. Six Flags requires the five “big” parks, MM, GA, OT, OG, and GAdv have to send in a ride every 5 years for the ride-rotation program, where roller coasters and thrill rides travel to different Six Flags parks every few years. Great Adventure has not done so, and Bizarro is the least popular ride in the park, so if anything happens, Bizarro could possibly be moved to SFSL or another small Six Flags park. This is just a rumor, so let’s keep our fingers crossed.
